Your new weapon against fear
If you're like me you probably have an unhealthy relationship with fear. It does weird things to us and it lies to us all the time. This last month I have found myself consulting people who have platforms or influence on a far greater level than my own. In these settings I have this thought bouncing around my heart and head and it goes like this:
"What in the world are you doing here? You have no business being here."
Luckily, I have some really great friends who keep reminding me I have lots of reasons to be there. I've taken for granted the amount of time I've spent reading, listening, and processing not for the sole purpose of learning but because I am simply fascinated.
Are you fascinated?
If you are fascinated with something, you're drawn to it. You do the work. You do the learning. But most of all, you ship your art. Fear is like a bully, if it can knock you down and you stay down - it wins. BUT, if you get back up then the bully loses it's power over you. I need this reminder and you might need this reminder: Your fascination can make you an expert. Have I put in 10,000 hours to the be expert? My guess is I've put in far more hours than that but I was too fascinated to count.
What about you? What do you need to do today to keep moving in fascination and create the life you want?
